The Adaptive Mobility Systems Conversion: The basis to the whole conversion is a newly manufactured, solid steel floorpan system of our design. The new floor is considerably stronger than the original, and is 10" lower. With this new floor and lowered sliding door intalled, you now have 53 full inches of door height. AMS will then install a fully powered folding wheelchair ramp, allowing the individual to roll directly through the heightened doorway and into the accessible ramp van. The lowered floor continues all the way to the front firewall to allow an individual in a wheelchair to park in either the front or center of the van without ever having to leave their chair. Wheelchair tie downs are accessible in all positions. Further enhancements include new, heavy duty rear leaf springs (custom designed!), newly placed gas tank, new carpet, exhaust system, and color keyed body ground effects complete the converted mini-van's transformation.
